Rice basmati eases on increased supply
New Delhi (PTI): Barring a fall in rice basmati, prices generally ruled flat in the national capital on Saturday amid restricted trading activities.
Rice basmati common variety prices moved down by Rs 100 to Rs 6,700-6,900 per quintal on increased arrivals from producing regions.
Traders said increased arrival from Punjab and Haryana against sluggish demand mainly brought down rice basmati common prices.
Following were Saturday's quotations per quintal in Rs:
Wheat MP (deshi) 1,475-1,750, wheat dara (for mills) 1,160-1,235, chakki atta (delivery) 1,160-1,165, Chakki atta Rajdhani (10 kg)145, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 150, Roller flour mill 1,160-1,175, Maida 700-710 (50 kg) and Sooji 740-755 (50 kg).
Basmati rice (lal quila) 8,800, Shri Lal Mahal 8,800, Super basmati rice 8,900, Basmati common 6,700-6,900, rice Pusa-1121 - 4,300-5000, Permal raw 1,430-1,450, Permal wand 1,500-1600, Sela 2,000-2,100 and Rice IR-8 1,250-1,400, Bajra 715-730, Jowar yellow 765-805, white 1245-1310, Maize 780-835, Barley (UP) 1,035-1,065 and Rajasthan 1110-1120.
