New Delhi (PTI): Cashew kernel broken prices on Saturday rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital on paucity of ready stocks due to restricted arrivals from producing regions.

Cashew kernel broken (two, four and eight pieces) rose by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 235-275, Rs 225-270 and Rs 205-255 per kg respectively.

Traders said scarcity of ready stocks following restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up cashew kernel prices.

Pick up in demand from retailers and stockists to meet marriage season also influenced the prices, they said. Meanwhile, prices of other dry fruits ruled steady on scattered deals.
