Q & A ON CAREER CONCERNS FAQs
I finished my MA last year. I want to do some business in my
hometown. Is it possible for me to open an oxygen parlour in my
town? Where can I get the details and how much do I have to
invest?
M. Kalyani Namakkal
The first oxygen parlour in India was started in Delhi. You can
correspond directly with the National Oxygen Bar Association for
further information.
I would like to know from where I can get the prospectus for SAT-
I, SAT-II, and TOEFL.

You can contact or correspond directly with the Institute of
Psychological and Education Measurement (IPEM), 119/25-A, Mahatma
Gandhi Marg Allahabad-211001 (U.P.), India, E-mail ipem@vsnl.com
or you can visit their website www.ipem.org for further
information.
I am a 29-year-old BSc Honours graduate (with Chemistry, Botany
and Zoology). I want to do either MCA from Madras University or a
Masters in Human Rights (2 years) from Pondicherry University.
Both the courses are through distance education. I want to know
about the job prospects of both the courses considering the fact
that these are not regular classes and Human Rights is a newly
introduced subject. Is there an age bar for such professionals in
private organisations? What other certificate/ diploma/
specialisation course should I take along with it?
Pramod Kumar Singh
Patna
It would be more viable to do an MCA as it will definitely ensure
better career prospects. A course in Human Rights would prepare
you for work that would be oriented towards social welfare and
may require you to work with welfare or voluntary organisations.
There is no age bar for seeking employment in the private sector.
Though additional courses may not be necessary, an MCA would
necessitate that you spend considerable time in perfecting your
programming skills. Graduates with mathematics background, either
in their intermediate or graduate level can take up MCA.
