immediately. Kindly advise.
Pranav, Bihar
There is no dearth of employment opportunities for engineers in
the field of electronics. They can try for suitable openings in
the government as well as private companies involved in consumer
electronics, electronic components. The Indian telephone
industries, MTNL, National Physical Laboratories, AIR, Civil
Aviation, computer hardware, radar, medical equipment, automation
and control systems etc are some of the key areas. Electronic
engineers are also absorbed into the entertainment transmission
industry, research establishments and the defence forces. You can
also register yourself with placement agencies and job sites like
ABC Consultants and TMI Network, and www.careermosaicindia.com,
www.jobsahead.com and www.monster.com etc respectively.
I am doing my 2nd year intermediate in Science (PCMB). I wish to
take up naval engineering. Can you please provide the relevant
details? I would also like to take the UPSC examination. How do I
prepare and at what age can I attempt the Civil Service
Examination? Please advice.

eligible to apply. To take the UPSC examination, you need to have
a graduate degree in any discipline from a deemed university and

qualify through the preliminary examination, the mains and the
interview. Through the UPSC examination, you can seek admission
either into the National Defence Academy or the Naval Academy.

I am a BBA graduate and am presently working with a private firm.
I am not satisfied with my present job and am looking for a
challenging, dynamic and disciplined job environment to enrich my
professional skills. I want to pursue MBA as well as work in any
multinational company (part time or full time). At this stage
what do I need to do? I'm really anxious about my future, kindly
help me.
Rajesh Vomkare, Mumbai
Pursuing a master's program in business administration would
definitely get you better job prospects. You could pursue the
course while still employed, if you can conveniently manage your
study program. Hence it may be a better idea to do it either
privately or through part time. This way if you get a better job
offer, you could take it up.
I am a CA student and wish to know about the CPA (Certified
Public Accountant) certification. I am keenly interested in
pursuing the certificate from the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountant (AICPA). What is the eligibility criteria,
requirements etc? Will this certification enable me to work in
the US?
Neelabh Dubey, Kanpur
To qualify for membership in the AICPA, you must possess a valid
CPA certificate issued by the legally constituted authority of a
State, the District of Columbia, territory, or territorial
possession of the United States. You also need to qualify for an
examination in accounting and other related subjects satisfactory
to the AICPA Board of Directors, which the Board has designated
as the Uniform CPA Examination. After being certified by the
AICPA you are eligible to work in America. You can write to them
at the following address: Main Office (New York) American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, 1211 Avenue of the
Americas, New York, NY 10036-8775. For more relevant information
you can also visit their site www.aicpa.org.
I am interested in pursuing MBA (Information Technology) from
IIIT. Can you kindly provide information about the institute,
date of the qualifying examination, eligibility etc?
Mili Gupta, Patna
IIIT offers an M.Tech course in information technology but not an
MBA. There are many premier institutes that offer MBA like the
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management; IIM, Ahmedabad,
Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow; Nirma Institute of Management,
Ahmedabad etc. For more relevant information you could correspond
with the respective institutions.
I am a final year B.Com student and interested in pursuing a
course in MFC (Masters of Finance and Control). Please mention
the universities offering the course.
Prabhajan, Cuttack
Punjabi University, Patiala; Punjab University, Chandigarh and
the University of Delhi, New Delhi, offer a master's course in
Finance and Control. If interested, you can also take up MBA in
finance through distance learning from the Administrative Staff
