Q & A ON CAREER CONCERNS Dated 27th Jun, 2001
I am a 3rd year student of B.Sc agriculture. What are my
prospects after graduation? If I take up M.SC in soil science,
what would be the future prospects in India and abroad. Kindly
list the institutions that offer M.SC in soil science.

With a masters degree in the field, you can work for government
agencies, state agriculture departments, banks and various trade
organisations, organisations such as the Horticultural Board,
Dairy Development Board etc. With a PhD in the subject you can
get into R&D. M.Sc. in Soil Science is offered at the Indian
Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
I have completed my MA (Maths) and I wish to do B.Ed through
correspondence. Please give me a list of universities where I can
do the course through correspondence. Also let me know whether I
can do the same from Kanpur and whether it is recognised.

Manomaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu and
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam offer M.Sc in nuclear physics.
Apart from these universities, the Saha Institute of Nuclear
Physics, Kolkata offers a one-year post M.Sc course in physics
with specialisation in condensed matter physics, high energy
physics, nuclear physics and plasma physics. M.Sc electronics is
offered at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; University of
Allahabad and Amravati University, Maharashtra. To make a career
in the field of research you need to have a PhD in the specified
subject.
I am an archeology graduate and want to pursue a masters in the
subject. Please name some reputed institutions that offer MArch
and what are their admission requirements?

MArch. A graduate degree in architecture or its equivalent is
necessary to apply for the course. The selection procedure
includes qualifying the written examination and the interview.

in Engineering (GATE) can apply directly.

Management, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai-600096. There are
