I am doing my Post-Ggraduation in Applied Psychology. Now I wish
to specialise in the field of Organisational
Psychology/Industrial Psychology. What are the career
opportunities for me in India?
Amar,

Wider choices exist for individuals with a masters' degree in
industrial/organisational psychology. You can work for a human
resource department, work in management or work for one company
and be sent on an assignment to another. You can also focus on
starting a consulting firm or working for one, or teach at a
university.
I am pursuing Civil Engineering at the Regional Engineering
College, Kurukshetra. What are the career prospects in this
field?
Amol,
Puna.
In the government sector, engineers can find jobs in the armed
forces and with the departments of irrigation, public works,
roads, airports, harbours, ports, railways, water and sewerage.
In the private sector, companies engaged in housing,
infrastructure and consultancy offer employment opportunities to
civil engineers. Due to the opening up of the economy and
privatisation of infrastructure development, there is expected to
be a good demand for civil engineers.
