Euphoria unplugged
It's summer time. Euphoria Time to be specific. Or Euphoria-2002, the cultural festival of the Vasavi College of Engineering to be more specific. This year it is time for more euphoria for the `Vasavites' as it marks the completion of two decades of the educational institution's existence.
Spring, they say, brings to life a lot of splendour, hope and an abundance of colour and this is what Euphoria-2002 promises to a student for whom February and March mean pursuing his goals with renewed vigour. What with the examinations fast approaching, this means the cultural festival is a time for release of the pent-up tension.
March 22, 23 and 24, promise to be a paradise on earth for dance lovers who can sway to the pounding beats of exquisitely selected songs at the Juke Box. In store on the Celebrity Nite is renowned percussionist, Sivamani, who will exhibit his art. The other highlight of the festival is the Rock Show on March 23 when none other than the famous group Parikrama will perform. It seeks to guarantee pulsating music to absorb the musically inclined into its grasp.
Yet another attraction in store is Go-Karting which has been brought right to the grounds of the Vasavi College itself providing `F1' experience at an affordable cost. So get set, all you Karthikeyans and Schumachers to hit the tracks on both the days from 10 a.m. onwards. Variety entertainment in the name of `The Informals' is in store, so go for it!
Those who don't want to be left behind can catch the action with a talented few who will be performing a dance ballet. With the promise of colours, it will be a well-reflected theme in the everyday lives of the students of Vasavi. A host of other cultural events are in store too.
