Turning point

IF it wasn't for a chance often from Channel 4, Christopher Mitchell might still have been pursuing feature films. But then that was a turning point in his life and since then Mitchell has been working as an independent film maker who looks for places where there is strife. ``Because strife is where drama is and drama is what tells a story.'' Presently in the city for the screening of four of his documentaries, Mitchell is busy working on his next project for the BBC. The film is based on the six-day war fought in 1967 between Israel and the Arab countries. He feels this incident could have sown the seeds for the present day conflict and attack on the twin towers. ``The Six Day War'', looks at events leading on to the skirmish and what its fall-out could have been. Mitchell said that though he had not made a film on Afghanistan yet, it was not due to lack of spade work, but finances.
