Jason Dasey... at home in India.

IT is his first passion and he is willing to go the full mile for it. So when Jason Dasey, one of Australia's most experienced and widely travelled sports broadcasters switched to anchor the popular ESPN Sportsline show, it was no surprise. Said Dasey, "Sportsline is much more comprehensive and if you like cricket then this is your kind of show." In a recent interview, Dasey claimed that he loved analysing India's cricket performance among other things Indian, be it the food or the country. A vegetarian, Dasey said that Indian food best suited his palate. A theatre buff too, Dasey has acted in a couple of plays. And despite having worked in the print medium initially, he is now a convert to television. "It is more immediate and much more exciting," said he. He commends the average Indian interest in cricket and finds their level and knowledge of things associated with the game amazing. "That is why I am at home here," he quipped.
