Second Innings

Ajay Jadeja

SIX years ago when Ajay Jadeja was offered a role opposite Madhuri Dixit he was on cloud nine. For some reason the film was shelved and Jadeja forgot all about Bollywood. But now it seems once again the silver screen is beckoning him. Shooting for "Pal Pal Dil ke Pas", Jadeja said he found acting a "very emotionally satisfying experience". Despite no formal training, he claims he is "comfortable in front of the camera. After all, I have been doing a number of commercials". With cricket tucked away for the time being, Jadeja feels his job is ""to give off my best, report for shootings on time, and prepare for my part by learning the dialogue". That many a cricketer before him came a cropper in Bollywood does not bother him.
