FESTIVITIES in the air and Christmas is literally round the corner. The Gatt Quintet, a vocal harmony group formed in Chennai more than 35 years ago will present a Christmas concert "Gatt together for Christmas".
They will be accompanied by one of America's most gifted jazz and ragtime pianists Drew Massicot .
The concert is on December 19 at the Chinmaya Heritage Hall, Harrignton Road at 7 p.m. This event will also mark the launch of their CD "Gatt together for Christmas" in Chennai.

DECEMBER 16 at the Max Mueller Bhavan features a film on rightist extremism and xenophobia by Andreas Voigt and December 18 has a film show on Germany during the World War II.

AT the Russian Cultural Centre, December 19 has an exhibition by K. Korovin, master of fine arts, co-sponsored by the Government College of Arts and Crafts. On December 20 is a seminar on M. Karanzim.

THE Kalakshetra Foundation has its festival of dance from December 25 for a week featuring a variety of artists. The traditional Rukmani Kalyanam a dance-drama marks the inauguration of the festival. The week also features Chitra Visveshwaran (December 26), Kutralla Kuruvanji (December 26), Kathakali dance recital on December 27, a Kuchpudi recital by Alekhya on December 28, and Kathak by Uma Sharma on December 30.
