A LENS view of art is what you'll get at the photography exhibition by Ferrante Ferranti, an expert on Baroque art.
The result of his research in churches in countries where Catholic has blended with local forms "Baroque, from India to Brazil" is on view at Gallery Alliance Francaise from March 24-31.

CAVE and rock paintings hold a great many links to ancient history. And there are many efforts to preserve such art forms that hold the key to the past. One such is a group of artists, under the organisational name of ROOTS. The members of this organisation have studied cave and rock art in places in Tamil Nadu like Alampadi, Keelvalai, Nayanur, Padiyenthal and Setthavarai (all in Villupuram district), Sirumalai (in Dindugal district) and Thottappa Nayakanur (in Madurai) and reproduced some of them in paintings, which are on display till March 29, at the Marina Annexe Campus, University of Madras.

TO celebrate their 18th anniversary, Mukti is planning to hold an art workshop for physically challenged artists between April 22-28 at Lalit Kala Akademi. They invite applications from physically challenged artists between 15 and 25. Well-known artists will guide the participants on various aspects of painting and sculpture.
