ACROBAT and juggler, Ruyant Gauthier will conduct a six-day workshop followed by a one-day interaction with "Accrostiches" a well-known acrobatic group from France. From 9.00 a.m. to 12 noon between May 23 and May 29 at the Alliance Francaise. The workshop fee will be Rs. 750. Number of participants is limited to 15.

DAKSHINACHITRA has a one-day summer wonder camp on May 25. Workshops on puppets and masks will be followed by games, songs and dances - all in the traditional manner. THE National Folklore Support Centre in collaboration with the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai will conduct a workshop on Mysore Traditional painting as part of Visual Art Traditions of India Series. The five-day workshop (between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.) will be led by well-known expert S.V. Raju and V. Rani Rekha. THE AF School of News Reading is offering a short-term training for aspiring newsreaders in Tamil and English. The classes are conducted during weekends. The institute offers training in voice modulation, accent, style of presentation, body language and make-up skills. Veteran newsreader and compere Abul Faiz runs the Institute. The Indian Dolphins Synchro Club is conducting a one-day synchronised swimming programme on May 23 at the Velachery Aquatic Complex, Guindy.
