THIS is acrobatics at its agile best. Since 1994, Jean-Philipe Cochey-Cahuzac, Philippe Copin and Michel Navarro - all teachers of acrobatics and jugglery - together with Christian Coumin formed the Les Accrostiches. Their show is variously hilarious, good, delicate, rudimentary, archaic, burlesque ... . Watch them in action on May 31 at the Music Academy at 7.00 p.m. Passes for the show are available at Alliance Francaise. For further details, contact Alliance Francaise at 28279803/28271477. A SARI is not just six yards of cloth. The variety involved can be mind-boggling. And Poompuhar has decided to bring the best from the country within reach of the middle range shopper at moderate prices. The All India Saris and Textiles Exhibition-cum-Sale has Maheshwaris, Tanghails and Sambhalpuri ikats vying with the finest Mangalgiris, Lucknow's chikankari. Coimbatore's vividly shaded fine cotton saris and some interesting examples of "revived" Madurai's Sungudi saris represent the South. Rajasthan's tie and dye saris are embellished by zari and chamki work. And all those interested, better hurry. The show ends on May 27. At Poompuhar Showroom on Anna Salai
