Bouncing back

RAJEEV BHATT

LIFE almost wrote him off but somewhere like the proverbial phoenix, Suhaib Ilyasi is back. This time, however, it is the big screen that has caught his attention as producer, director and lead actor for his new film "Wanted No. 1". Ilyasi is upbeat. The Rs 2.5 crore film is still being shot but he is confident that it will, like his famous TV serial "India's Most Wanted", capture the imagination of the people. Though, like every other Bollywood product, this too has its fair share of songs, Ilyasi insists that they are relevant to the film. And for those who are wondering whether this is a one-off venture Ilyasi has more to offer. "My next project is "Bharat 2047" and is based on the changing values of today's youth." As for his most popular and lucrative venture, the TV serial on crime, "I won't do that till the court case is on," said Ilyasi.
