ON June 30, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., join an interfaith Guided Meditation "Training the mind" by Justine Panakal — Christianity, in collaboration with the foundation of universal responsibility of H.H. The Dalai Lama at the Habitat World, India Habitat Centre.

BENGALI songs hold centre stage for two days at the Habitat World. Impresario presents two events - first a "Festival of Rare Musical Tradition of Bengal" on July 4. Devajit Banerjee performs popular songs from Puratani Plays at 7:00 p.m. The second on July 5 has traditional songs of three eminent poets in a festival of "Rare Musical Tradition of Bengali: Tridhara" at 7:00 p.m. conceived and directed by Jayati Ghosh.

A VIVACIOUS and energetic Swati Sinha, disciple of guru Rajendra Gangani, presents a Kathak recital on June 30 at the India International Centre. Her accompanists are Yogesh Gangani on the tabla, Vijay Parihar (vocals), Ayub Khan on the sarangi and guru Rajendra Gangani (padhant).

JUNE 29, at 7:00 p.m., at the Habitat World, Abhiyan Theatre Group present their new play "Mr. Right", about an honest man whose right arm assumes an identity of its own and commits acts alien to his nature.

ON July 5 at 7:00p.m the Habitat World, India Habitat Centre hosts the Hindi pustak goshti "Bodhi Vraksh ke Neeche" an anthology of poems by AVM Vishwa Mohan Tiwari. A must for biblophiles.

ON July 2 and 3, theatre buffs have a treat in store. "Asmita", a play based on a contemporary theme, will be staged at 7:00p.m at the Habitat World, India Habitat Centre.

JULY 1 sees two events at Habitat World. Natyam Theatre Group of Kolkata presents short plays in Bengali on non-violence "Ashwathama and Judhakshetra" at 7:00 p.m.

Also at 7:00 p.m, contemporaries and admirers pay their tribute to Delhi's great poet Janab Amir Qasalbash in collaboration with Kaladharmi Baag at the Habitat Centre, India Habitat Centre

Also on July 5 at 7:00 p.m. PSBT presents a screening of two documentary films: "Into the Abyss" by Vandana Kohli, on the growing incidence of depression in modern life and "Vijay Meets victory" by Savyasaachi Jain, graphically screens for you the the devastation and suffering caused by Alcoholism. The screening shall be followed by a discussion moderated by Dr. Sudhir Khandelwal, Department of Psychiatry,All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
