Spotlight on neem
A TREE that grows almost everywhere in this country seems to have captivated at least one heart. Neem Dreams is the outcome of Australian author Inez Baranay's intense curiosity about the origins, tales of the humble neem. Baranay, said that it was only when she recently travelled to India, that she realised the neem had more to it than its obvious properties. It's being embroiled in a intellectual property rights controversy and its special significance in rural India, only served to fuel her interest in the subject. Insisting that there were too many extraordinary aspects to India, all she was willing to commit herself to was a pithy, "I think there is yet another book in me about India."
