New talent

SUDDENLY she is the new face of talent that has industry circles abuzz. VIDYA BALAN, the lead actor in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film "Parineeta", insists that despite having a "vulnerable look about her", she is not likely to get trapped in that image.

Balan who has tasted success with her first film, said that working with Chopra was not "exactly a cakewalk". She said that she had to undertake a series of tough screen tests just to make sure that she was the right player for the role.

And though she is now already a regular at the Chopra camp, having been offered a role in the sequel to "Munnabhai MBBS", Balan said that her dream was to work with King Khan. "I'd stand on my head to be given a chance to work with him," declared the actor who is totally smitten by SRK's charisma.

But all that aside she is clear that she doesn't want to be typecast in any role. "Just because I have a certain image in one film it does not mean I should follow it up to the next. Now I'd rather play a girl who is blunt and an extrovert." What are you waiting for Balan? Go get it.
