Film chamber vs. stars

WHEN THE Kerala Film Chamber decided to ban all film artistes who work or produce T.V. serials, they should have anticipated the reactions. Superstar Mohanlal has declared that it was for the audience to decide whether they should see his films or not. Mammootty has also expressed himself on this sensitive issue. He said that it was foolish to think that T.V. serials with film artistes were the cause of films flopping.

The Chamber taking arbitrary action was not right. With Jagathy Sreekumar and others too following suit and expressing themselves openly, it looks as if a rethink by the film chamber will become necessary shortly.
