THE ITC Group, which is synonymous with cigarettes, aspires to corner a large chunk of the casual wear market. As creating a new brand name is no ordinary task -- Wills nomenclature has been retained. In fact the name is becoming familiar to more and more people ever since it was launched as the first branded lifestyle apparel in Delhi in July, 2000. And to drive home the point on exclusivity, the apparel from Wills Sport, will be exhibited at its own showrooms across Delhi and Noida.
Wills Sport has unveiled a new range of wrinkle-free work wear for men. One might wonder how can a shirt, that too linen fabric which breathes very easy, can be without wrinkles? Well, the answer is that special surface treatment is given to the linen fabric. Immaculate with fine designs these shirts are up for grabs in a wide variety of checks and stripes as well as plain colours. The pure cotton fabric is specially treated to ensure minimal creasing. Trellis check shirt -- made from Japanese cotton -- has a striking check pattern and a wrinkle-free finish, this combination is for those whose job entails hopping from one place to another. The unique selling point of this product is that it complements stretch-bend-jump lifestyle. It is priced at Rs. 1595 and available in aqua green, blue white, grey blue and sun azure. Comfort fit linen trousers with double peat are priced at Rs. 1845 and come in stone, black, seal and brown colours.
An official of the lifestyle retailing business division, says, "Our target is to have each store with 50 different relaxed wear apparel - shirts, T-shirts and trousers. During winters, sweaters, cardigans and jackets will dot the shelves."
