Vaccinate society against eve-teasing

EVE-TEASING IS one of the facets of our male-dominated society. While harassment and molestation is present in a milder and deceptive stage called eve-teasing, men see it as a good 'time-pass', not realising the serious consequences it might lead one to. Police statistical data could put one to shame. Out of every 100 men involved in eve-teasing, 40 are students, 32 are anti-social elements and 28 are middle-aged. Of course, students of this generation have profaned the sanctity of their college atmosphere where teasing perhaps is a casual everyday syndrome! Is this what our education is all about? In every society, the youth form the pillars, but the same lot stand responsible for this inhuman act of eve-teasing too. One is forced to ask whether this could be the impact of the media! The society has to vaccinate the students against eve-teasing. To achieve this, we have to willingly change our attitude.
