Painting contest
The Chitra Kala Parishad will conduct an on-the-spot painting contest for school children to mark the fourth death anniversary of the eminent artist A. Paidi Raju, at three venues - Shipyard Recreation Club, near Scindia Junction; DAV Public School in Ukkunagaram; and the Yoga Centre at VUDA Park - at 10 a.m. on December 25.
According to the parishad convener, E.E. John Raju, Std. I to X pupils are eligible to participate in the contest. Interested candidates should register themselves at the venues at 9.30 a.m. on the competition day. The prize distribution will be held on December 26 in the Gandhigram Branch Library premises.
