Cover it with hand block prints done in a palette of vibrant to pastel ozone-friendly, azo and benzidine-free dyes and compelling designs ranging from modern-abstract to geometrical and traditional Moghul. Embellish it with a touch of taar work, a hint of chamki and some exquisite beadwork. Ensure a perfect cut and you have the APN Square Collection; a range of Indo-western bootleg pants and tops, short kurtas, salwar kameez sets and saris that spell glamour.
The special block design with their outer `rake' and `datta' blocks virtually create a riot of flowers, abstract modern configurations and `batik' themes through an intricate process, which suggests the sophistication of screenprinting. The designer touch is evident in the salwar kameez outfits that come in striking combinations. The saris and made-ups come in muted and vibrant shades, celebrating shocking pinks, Van Gogh yellows and deepest blues along with soft greys and beiges, shell pinks and off-whites.
