A click away: Bipasha Basu at Tag Heuer launch in New Delhi.

THE HEARTTHROB of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu came over to the Capital, saw a gleaming array of impressive imported watches and stole the hearts of her fans, who braved the security personnel's wrath to catch a glimpse. The lady with a charming smile was at New Delhi's Connaught Place for the inauguration of the first flagship store of the well-known Swiss brand TAG Heuer.

One of the leading luxury sports watch-making company, TAG Heuer called the actress as a special invitee. While the media waited for Bipasha to take the stage, the event compare and former beauty queen, Manpreet Brar introduced the brand President and Chief Executive Officer, Jean Christophe Babin.

"TAG Heuer is for people with a sporty attitude," Babin began and then, looking at Bipasha, he added, "She epitomises mental strength and physical beauty."

Well, for information, these watches have been sported by ace golfer, Tiger Woods, master athelete, Carl Lewis and ex-Wimbeldon champion, Boris Becker. Not bad, Bipasha.

Bipasha extended her wrist to the CEO to fit in a watch from the brand's Alter Ego range, picked up from amidst an impressive display of timepieces. Time for Bipasha to speak: "I am a feminine dresser. Alter Ego is a watch for today's women and since I symbolise today's women, I chose this."

Added the CEO, "The opening of the TAG Heuer store in the Capital not only reinforces our commitment to India but is also a key step forward in our international network expansion programme. The aim is to foster curiosity and offer an experimental tour to the visitor by moving away from static displays in the way watches are presented by highlighting the beauty and singularity of each model displayed."

As the word spread that sizzling Bipasha of her latest flick, "Jism" fame is in, crowd began to gather while security personnel with truncheons had a hard time controlling them.

Much to the disappointment of camera-holders who thought that the Bengali damsel would simply pout and oblige them by striking different poses, she instead, visibly irritated, said, "I have only one head."

Maybe not in sync with her otherwise bubbly self. Post-"Jism" Bipasha has been facing stalkers and molesters every now and then. Recently, in a discotheque in Mumbai, an inebriated man misbehaved with her before her beau John Abraham did the rescue act.

The security had a real tough time as Bipasha walked towards her car. Amidst cries of "Bipasha Bipasha," the lady escapes into her car. And yet, she left everybody panting.
