IF YOU are looking for some clean, decent ensembles to wear on weekends, check out this circle of fashion here in Panjagutta - Dress Circle. Started by Vikas V. Shahani, the outlet is a storehouse of exquisite ethno-chic tops and tees for the teenybopper and the young women, alike. "Not only that, we even have an exclusive line of formals for women," corrects Shahani.

"Our formal line, which includes both regulars (office wear) and wedding wear - are exclusively designed for us by special designers, making sure that none of the designs are repeated," asserts the proprietor. Each piece is unique and no two people in the world will wear the same design, he continues. And the best part is that all the dress materials are hand embroidered.

While the casual tees can be picked up for Rs. 150, the semi-formal shirts and blouses - prototypes of Allen Solly or Gurlz - are priced between Rs. 200 and Rs. 300. Innovative graffiti and designs are the plus points for buyers. "Most of the tops have been imported from Bangkok and Bombay," adds Shahani.

The dress materials for suits are available in the wide range of Rs. 750 for regulars to Rs. 3,000 and above, for the wedding wear collection in as much a wide variety of fabrics.

TOP OF THE LINE: Innovative graffiti and designs are the plus points

"We are planning to increase the range of our collection by the end of this month," says Dress Circle, in-charge. But barely a fortnight old, the shop has become a rage with youngsters and is doing well in the deluge of garment stores, flooding the streets of the city with an alarming regularity. Says Anita Bhupal of Badruka Commerce, "Now that summer is here and tees are in - again, Dress Circle is the place one should head to for style and quality. Of course, prices are also irresistible." "The tees are really cool, particularly those with messages scribbled on them. The formal line is also good but a bit too over-priced," seconds friend Padmaja.

Dress Circle certainly beckons big business going by the mad rush of shoppers flocking the store these days. It's time you checked out that well-lit circle of fashion in Topaz building near Panjagutta.
