Coffee, music and evening

"The secret behind the success of any coffee pub lies in the number of flavours it offers to its customers"

WANNA ENJOY your evening, `cool or hot', listening to the latest numbers of Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez or A.R.Rehman? Then, The Only Place (TOP) at AA Towers on the Bye-Pass Road is the right place.

A coffee pub basically, the TOP offers a long list of hot and cold coffee varieties, all Italian flavours. Besides those on the menu card, about 40 to 50 different flavours of coffee are also served here.

"The secret behind the success of any coffee pub lies in the number of flavours it offers to its customers", says Rajesh Venugopal, owner of the TOP. "Of these, the Chill on TOP and the Smoothies are TOP's exclusives".

Not just coffee alone, there is a long list of mouth-watering fast foods for a light and delicious grub in the evening.

As you enter the TOP, the twin attractions that catch your sight are the Black Forest cakes and the palm-sized spicy and crispy samosas.

It has also plans to introduce pizzas and kababs as there is a huge demand for these two from food buffs.

While college students form major chunk of visitors in the day, it is the turn of families and youths to throng this joint in the evenings.

Other than these lots, executives employed in different corporates in and around the locality come here in the afternoon with their friends to refresh themselves.

Overwhelmed by this, Mr.Rajesh Venugopal says, "now I am working out with the managements of the corporates to enter into a tie-up and render service on a credit basis. The response seems to be really encouraging and we hope to do it big".

So impressive is the ambience of the pub, as it looks like any of its kind in the European nations, particularly the Italian or France model. The lighting arrangements will fascinate customers as the shades of lamps have been chose with utmost care to provide cool to the eyes.

A cosy outlet, this can easily accommodate a small gathering of 30 persons at a time. Though close to one of the busiest roads of the city, it is absolutely free from the noise of blaring horns of the vehicles that pass by.

Regarding rates, beginning with the Espresso flavour, which is priced at Rs.5 in the coffee section, there are other best kinds costing up to Rs.25. In the fast food list, the list starts with a plate of samosas (four), for Rs.5, to burgers, fixed at Rs.36.

"The rates do not seem to bother the customers much, because I do 50 bills in one evening session on an average", he points out and feels, "for a pub launched just three weeks ago, this number is really an encouraging one".

Another interesting feature of this joint is the snooker table, where the visitors can relax along with relishing the coffee or munching the delicious fast foods.

So pals, no worries about time factor nor about the entertainment aspect, an exciting spot is in the neighbourhood to have a nice and short outing.
