Designs for the new woman
A WOMAN'S wardrobe is never complete without matching accessories. Be it traditional or trendy, she often complements her looks with the perfect bag, shoes, and jewellery. The hep girls of today no long pick up chunky gold set studded with heavy stones, only to bury it deep in a safe deposit locker most of the year. Contemporary lifestyles don't permit a woman to wear such heavy jewellery often. Also, fashion dictates that trendy and elegant designs in gold, silver, and platinum are the order of the day.
Catering to this need, Oyzterbay has launched a new collection in 22-karat gold. The new range is priced between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 25,000, for which making charges start at Rs. 40 per gram. The collection, claim the makers, is supported by the World Gold Council as an "initiative to promote growth in the gold demand through new product developments".
According to Sanjeev Agarwal, Managing Director, World Gold Council, "The Indian woman is looking for variety in 22-k gold jewellery. Gold is back in fashion worldwide. In India, Oyzterbay's latest collection caters to the young woman who desires a fusion of traditional and contemporary look." At the launch, the makers said: "The collection draws its inspiration from the vast heritage of Indian temple decorative architecture, where hard granite is carved into decorative flora and human forms to highlight the craftsmanship of the artisans. It is these decorative organic motifs that are used in our collection."
The collection is available at most Oyzterbay Showrooms in the country.
