It's a heady mix of perfumes at an exhibition of flowers preserved in fibre glass, which is on at Vimonisha till July 2.

A THOUSAND flowers bloom at Eternal Exotica's exhibition on at Vimonisha, Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Nungambakkam.
Enter the world of flowers, from the quintessential English garden's poppies, corn flowers, anemones, maidenhair ferns, daisies and snapdragons to tropical sunflowers and orchids; from American beauty rose to Indian raat ki rani and Chinese peony, all preserved `forever fresh' between sheets of fibre glass! Or freeze-dried to perfection and preserved in original Bohemia glass containers.
There are bouquets and posies too of sculpted soap and porcelain-dusted flowers from Japan, which are perfumed as well.
The fibre glass panels feature flowers that are plucked in full bloom. They retain their natural freshness due to a process of preservation in resin. Nothing artificial has been added to the flowers.
Pressed between sheets of fibre glass are exquisite floral arrangements with themes such as English and Chinese gardens, idyllic landscapes, ikebana and so on.The panels in different sizes, have an enchanting, luminous effect. Lamp shades, trays and vases are other attractions at the exhibition.
The floral candle range includes wedding candles and pillar candles.
The exhibition-cum-sale is on till July 2.
