NORTH MEETS South in a stunning range of saris and cholis at Uttar-Dakshin, an exhibition at Usha's.

Beautiful Kanchi silks and cotton saris vie for attention. The delicate kutchi designs on Kanchi cottons have a classy appeal. The Rajasthani floral and geometric prints have a regal stamp and the riotous colours are in sharp contrast to the sombre desert hues... maroon, rusty orange and green.

Then, there are elegant cholis to match the saris in Kanchi cotton, Mangalgiri and ikkat. Woven borders cleverly patched together with intricate embroidery lend a stunning effect to the cholis.

Timeless Kanchipuram saris with Sanganeri prints, floral Jaipuri prints on cotton and silks, Kanchi cottons in vibrant hues of the earth... the choice is wide.

The exhibition is on from today at 16, III Street, Dr. Tirumurti Nagar, Nungambakkam, ph: 28276674/ 28254035.
