Family entertainer

AVM'S "PRIYAMANA Thozhi", releasing this Friday, is reportedly going to be a milestone in Madhavan's career. So far, the actor has a city slicker image whose film only does business in cities like Chennai and Coimbatore and overseas to a certain extent. He has never been able to percolate down to what the trade refers to as B and C stations or smaller towns and interiors.

Now with "Priyamana Thozhi" directed by Vikraman, the man who seems to know the pulse of the mass audience, Maddy has brought himself a ticket to win the hearts of the all-important rural audience. And with "Priyamana Thozhi", Vikraman becomes the first director to make a film in Tamil and Telugu ("Vasantham" in Telugu) with identical story but different star cast and releasing it the same day! According to AVM Saravanan, producer of the film: "Priyamana Thozhi" will be a feel-good film about friendship and love. All the lead stars, Madhavan, Jyothika and Sridevi, have come up with excellent performances. It is a family entertainer that can be enjoyed by the masses and classes alike".
