IT'S THAT time of year darlings - the nip in the air, Navratri, Diwali, weddings - all translate into that one happy magic word, Party! For parties you need new threads and one place you could go and shop for them is Indulge (White House, Begumpet)

The formal range, which starts at Rs 1,500 have some real neat Indo-westerns. A short kurta in jute with sequins and beadwork on the arms and sleeves is beyond cool. Available in four colour options - beige, pink, orange and blue, the beige with black and red leheriya trousers and dupatta is absolutely divine.

The kurta with bios cut is flattering and the fit is worth dying for. Stoles are back big time and the floral printed chiffon with rather elaborate bell sleeves is delightfully bohemian.

For the more formal dos, there are regal salwar kurtas (Rs 4,500) in white and gold. In a variety of fabrics from chanderi and tussar to kora and maheswari, the suits are teamed with extensively woven dupattas. While there are unconventional festive colours like black and white, there are the regular peacock blues, pinks and orange as well.

Outfits sport a wide range of embroidery including antique zardosi, badla, the Parsi gara, French knots and chain stitch in silver and gold thread.

For embellishments you have sequins in eye-popping variety as well as beads, pipes and crystal.

Chiffons make their presence strongly felt in a variety of avatars including painted, plain, embroidered and bandini (tie and dye.)

Outfits in pure silks, crepe and brocade strike the right festive notes. The closely gathered tie and dye dupattas add the requisite splash of colour to the outfit.

The range of material is extensive and you could go for Indo western or traditional depending on the work and material.

A range of tops including some cool chiffon tops (Rs 650) that would give Salman Khan a run for his money simply beg to be picked up.

A little silk bag with antique zardosi work on it completes the look and you are ready to party.
