AU student for youth parliament
Pawan Kumar
Konda Pawan Kumar, a student of Andhra University, has been selected to participate in the Youth Parliament to be held in New Delhi in the near future. The preliminary selection for this event was held in November 2002 and the second round was held in January 2003. Pawan has bagged the highest number of marks among the 32 students who have been selected to participate in the event. He will don the role of Prime Minister.
Pawan, who is presently doing his M.A. (previous) from the A.U. School of Distance Education, has bagged a total of 52 first prizes in various competitions between 2000-03.
He secured these awards while he was doing his B.A. from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College. He also won a cash award of Rs.20,000 and a trophy as a team leader at the national seminar on "The power of ahimsa in the 21st century", which was conducted by the GSS Jain College for Women in Chennai in March, 2002.
