A lazeez affair, really
FOR THOSE already familiar with Lazeez Affaire in the Malcha Marg Shopping Complex, Snappers-the Orient Lounge is not going to be hard to locate. Adding to its famous Indian cuisine, Lazeez Affaire now offers its customers some Thai and Chinese cuisine within the same complex. Although, the Malcha shopping complex is rife with eating joints, this new venture by the group promises to "end the long search of customers for a perfect eating complex".
The menu at the Orient Lounge, Snapper, has a fine assortment of Thai and Chinese cuisine, including a few seafood specialities. In typical Oriental style, the restaurant offers a wide range of soups to choose from, but there is enough for those interested in drinks also. The Vegetable Dragon Roll, a starter, will suit both vegetarians and non-vegetarian tastes, while for those particularly fond of seafood there is Prawns Salt and Pepper among others. The growing popularity of Thai cuisine has made it a regular on most menus of the city, but it is the distinct flavour of the Green Thai Curry with Vegetable at Snapper that marks the essential difference between the regularly available and the authentically prepared.
Another must-have at this restaurant is the Lemon Chicken Cantonese Style. The name might not initially attract takers but the Banana Toffee, which can be eaten with vanilla ice cream, is a dessert that will delight people with a sweet tooth.
The 70-cover restaurant is open between 12 noon and 3-30 p.m. for lunch, between 7 p.m. and 11-30 p.m. for dinner. An average meal for two would cost an approximate Rs.550.
