THREE DESIGNERS, but a melange of styles. Collage@7W is presenting the works of Ananya, Varsha and Kanish Bhargava at Apparao Galleries.
Ananya, the design house from Bangalore, uses in-house silks in bright colours. Its collection of saris, blouses, skirts and bags comes in hot pinks, gold, mustard, cobalt blue and emerald green. Minimalist and classy, the designs are ideal for eveningwear.
Varsha Mahendra, who has worked with a number of fashion houses in New York and Italy, has created a Kalamkari line, based on the timeless theme — Tree of Life. She has used tribal embroidery for surface ornamentation.
Kanish Bhargava, has used chikankari work on chiffon, silk and cotton to create outfits that are elegant and aesthetic. Kanish's creations have been displayed across the country as also in Paris and Japan.
