Create your designs in gold
THE GOLD Club of Chennai in association with the World Gold Council is organising "Excellence in Gold", a design contest on August 29, 10 a.m. to 12 noon at two venues — the Don Bosco School, Egmore, and the GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, 76, 7th Avenue, Ashok Nagar.
The contest is divided into four categories. The school category is further divided into high school and higher secondary and the theme is `My Dream Jewel.' The theme for college goers is `Casual wear.' The open category is for the public and the theme is `Ornamentation for the arm.' The last category is for professionals and the theme is `Gold expressions.'
Prizes worth Rs. 2,25,000 can be won and the winning designs will be crafted by leading jewellers and displayed at a fashion show during the finale, `Swarnasamarpan.'
