Hair art... Kingsley Gomes at work Pic by R. Ragu
REMEMBER THE spiky gelled hair that Aamir Khan sported in "Dil Chahta Hai" or the crew cut that Hrithik sported in "Lakshya?"
If these hairstyles impress you, join the club that considers hair styling an art.
Bounce Style Lounge recently organised a workshop for its hairdressers with Kingsley Gomes, a member of the team behind Aamir Khan's look in "Dil Chahta Hai."
Giving tips to the hair consultants and also demonstrating international hairstyles at the salon, Kingsley says gone are the days when people went to the neighbourhood salon and got their haircuts done without giving much thought to it.
Now people seem to know exactly what type of haircut they want and go for the unusual. However, Kingsley feels hair dressing in Chennai has evolved and hairdressers are well informed, have good infrastructure and use advanced techniques.
"The styling tips and colouring techniques that I suggested to them over the past couple of days are something they already know. It is good that there is so much awareness about the latest techniques here," says Kingsley.
Morning sessions were devoted to training the staff at Bounce while the evening sessions saw customers walking in to have their hair styled by Kingsley.
He will be at Bounce till August 30. For more information, contact 28330508.
