ORRA, PART of the Belgium-based Rosy Blue Group, the world's largest diamond manufacturing company, has opened shop in Chennai. The showroom was recently inaugurated by model-actress Mahek Chahal.
There are different collections to choose from — Bridal, Solitaire, Platinum, Couple, Spiritual and Valentine. The designs are inspired by the rich heritage of the country and have a Western touch. So, one can find design elements such as raised beads, rawa work, rope or veni work translated on to rings, pendants, necklaces, bangles, earrings as well as mangal sutras and nose rings, each piece dazzling with Belgium-cut diamonds.
Also available is a range for men.
As for the prices, they are Rs. 2,500 upward.
Orra, incidentally, has tie-ups with De Beers, Platinum Guild of India and the World Gold Council. It offers an 80 per cent buy back policy and upgrading of the jewellery purchased within six months by 40 per cent.
