THOUGH TITLED "Rajasthan Exhibition - 2004", here is a mela that showcases crafts from every nook and corner of the country. Organised by the All India Crafts Fair at the C.P Art Centre, Eldams Road, Alwarpet, the exhibition which is on from today till November 11 has on display silk, cotton and gem stone paintings, Hyderabadi black metal artefacts, Saharanpur wood carving and furniture from Kashmir and a host of knick knacks to enliven interiors.
Eye-catching jewellery from Rajasthan and Hyderabad will form part of the display. Textiles from Gujarat and Punjab, mainly comprising saris, salwar suits and bed linen and, of course, chikankari work from Lucknow... there's plenty to suit taste and budget.
Also on show is a collection of utility items such as belts and purses in leather.
The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
