Vepudu, appam and more
DELECTABLE DOSAS, tangy curries, to-die-for ariselu and a host of preparations from the south of Vindhyas are hot across the world, much like the tacos and chop suey here.
Yoghurt, coconut milk, tamarind, curry leaves and rest of the ingredients bring in healthful benefits apart from adding flavour to the dishes. With Sankranti season still fresh in the air, Promenade at Aditya Park Inn (Ameerpet, Tel: 55788888) presents a South Indian Cuisine Festival till January 22.
Lesser-known dishes such as Souf fish curry, Andhra fish, Mutton verwal, Kothmir kodi kura, Mamsum vepudu and Chicken Nilgiri feature in the main course. Vegetarians have ample choice as well with Bhindi peanut fry, Karivepaku paneer, Marwakai pappu, Nellore Vada Pulusu, Bangaladumpa vepudu and more on the menu to go with Nellore wada pulao, or Kerala paratha, assorted dosas and appam from the live counter. Wrap up with Chakkerapongali, arisalu and other traditional sweetmeat options. Bon Apetit.
