Pocket-friendly style

The twin boutiques — Sanskruthi and Shrishti, 96, Luz Church Road, are organising their annual exhibition-cum-sale. On display is a wide collection of hand-woven co-ordinated salwar materials and ready-made salwar suits, kurtis and tops.

The unstitched sets that are priced at Rs. 300 upwards come in cottons, blends and silks. A special attraction is the ikat and woven dupattas that are specially designed and sourced from across the country. On show is a new line of silk suits with jari-woven dupattas in striking colour schemes. For those keen on style at affordable prices, there is a range of cottons and synthetics — Mangalgiri, kora, Maheshwari, Kalamkari and georgettes. Crushed skirts with trendy tops are also available. While ethnic fabrics and workmanship are the boutiques' strong points, this time round, the accent is also on fancy creations that smack of contemporary style. Discounts ranging from 10 to 30 per cent are offered till March 20. For details call 24992999.
