At last, Delhi designer JJ Valaya is moving on. No, not away from fashion but rather deeper into it. Moving beyond outfit designing, he has just entered the world of women's footwear.

The acclaimed designer has just announced the launch of a new label - Valaya by Skin Sin. A joint venture of Valaya and international fashion footwear brand Skin Sin, it will also have inputs from footwear designer Arvind Bajaj.

"Now, a lot of time and effort is spent by the fashion conscious Indian woman to find the right footwear to go with her wardrobe. She has to either source the footwear from abroad or make do with existing designs in our local shops. But our new collection will offer the latest in design and technique with cutting edge finish," says Valaya. And, as in his outfits with rich, embellished looks, Valaya's range of footwear too has more or less the same stamp on them in bright colours.

The brand Skin Sin retails fashion footwear in stores like Guzzi, Carre Pointu and Casse Pieds in Europe. Targeted at the age group of 20 to 45, the brand will introduce 30 new styles of footwear for its label every season.

According to Arvind, "Skin Sin offers a unique blend of rich creativity with technical expertise that provides latest designs and supreme comfort in a shoe. We strive to present a product that has never been experienced before in the fashion industry."

Arvind started his career as a footwear designer with Ivan Solomons, a respected and well-known authority in the U.K. footwear industry. Thereafter, Arvind spent a lot of time in the shop floors of shoe factories to pick up the threads of shoe designing.

The shoes, priced between Rs.1900 and 6000, come in daywear, loungewear, club wear, select night outs and fashion extravaganzas.

Valaya by Skin Sin will offer a new collection every three months across all Valaya and Skin Sin fashion boutiques in India, UAE and Europe.
