Rocking star

Indian Idol Neha Kakkar is upbeat about her debut album

Well, whether the singing talent hunts gives you really able singers or not, but they definitely prepare some ‘performers’ who can sing well too. And that’s why instead of testing their voices on new, classic compositions, they are made rock stars! Neha Kakkar, who made her presence felt with “Indian Idol-2”, has just got this status, courtesy, Meet Brothers, a newly launched music company, known for its hit song ‘Tune Puppy Kyun Li’ based on Rakhi Sawant-Mika’s publicity stunt.

Never mind the moral brigade, Neha is obviously on the seventh heaven with her debut album titled Neha The Rock Star.

“Neha is a talented girl. We have full faith in her. She has potential to deliver an excellent performance,” say the visibly excited Meet Brothers, who are marketing as her “the Indian Shakira” and the girl too has “no problem” in transforming into one!

The album has eight songs; all sung in a different style. Songs are written and composed by Tony K and their music is composed by, of course, Meet Brothers. Says Neha, “If you call yourself a singer then you must have the ability to sing any thing, whether it’s pop, classical, rock, sufi or folk. Through this album I have tried to show this versatility.”

One of the album’s track ‘Shadi Ka Kharcha, Tere Baaap Ka’ says that the marriage shouldn’t be a headache for girls and in the modern society, the boys’ family should bear all the expenses.

Talking of success Neha says, “Success has got no limits. Before you are just going to achieve what you wanted, you already have something new going in your mind, same is the case with me too.”
