Afghan spectre on India — a historical perspective
India has been following a policy of either control or engagement or total neutrality towards Afghanistan. Attempts towards control have repeatedly failed due to geo-political situations. Neutrality has unfailingly led to disasters. Engagement has proved to be the only fruitful strategy.
