Grateful hare
Apack of hounds was chasing a hare. The hare was tired and so hid behind a thick bush. A horse passed by. The hare said, "Dear friend, I am in trouble. Will you take me on your back and leave me far away from this place?" The horse said, "Sorry friend, you have helped me in many ways, but now I am unable to help you. My parents are waiting for me." Many animals passed by that way. But they all refused to help.
The hare then cried and said, "Oh God, I helped my fellow animals in many ways. But when I am in trouble no one is helping me. Please save me."
An eagle passed that way. The hare called out for the eagle. "Eagle! Eagle! Please carry me far from this place. Please save me." The eagle carried the hare and left it in a far-off place. The hare thanked the eagle for saving its life.
