A tennis buff
A sweltering late afternoon. My coach calls out "Finish your warm-up."
"Yes sir," I reply. Then it is two hours of a tight workout. I joined tennis because I hated being flabby. About one and a half years ago after running for about two rounds in the jogging grounds I would collapse with a big thud. My father always encouraged me. I was a great fan of Monica Seles and Pete Sampras. My father enrolled me at Andhra Pradesh Lawn Tennis Association. (APLTA) where the first two to three months were from hell. By the end of the session I would be so tired that I wouldn't be able to move a finger. But that is in the past, now I have no problem running or sprinting. Now my tennis sessions are energy boosters.
But along with this, I have to do well in my studies too or else my mother will clamp down on the tennis classes. My first priority would always be studies. My tennis sessions teach me to get going even at the hardest of times. So I can study twice as much as before.
Balancing my time between tennis and studies is as hard as balancing Chemistry equations. This has brought me great results. I play good tennis and excel in studies as well.
