Will it be?
I would like to see India a great nation, will it be?
Its importance in water and sky,
As vital as light for us.
As important as tyres for buses,
I would like to see India,
A really great nation.
With its own place in the world, under the sun
Will it be?
A great nation
What is its definition?
A great nation would be great in all matters,
Whether it is from inside or outside, it will glitter,
Where there would be no illiteracy
Social crimes, corruption or discrimination,
Where everybody gets his or her rights
Equality for all.
If this has not happened yet,
I take a pledge,
I will try to do,
Whatever I can,
For my country.
Whatever I can do for its progress,
Therefore whenever
The question arises,
Is India a great nation? Will it be?
Then I will say, yes!
Surely one day it will be.
