War or peace?

War ends in war. It consumes many lives. It dislocates the economic growth of a country. The effect of war is disheartening. Destruction of property, loss of health and famine are the results of war. The bombs and weapons used in modern wars kill thousands of people. People are now afraid of world war because it will end the civilisation. War generates permanent enmity and hatred.

People blame science for modernising wars. Bronowski says that science is not responsible for the existence of rivalries among nations. But science has increased the power of warmongers. Scientists have not invited weapons to destroy humanity. It is the mistake of people who misuse inventions.

Mahatma Gandhi freed our Nation through Non-violence. So war should be avoided. The U.N.O. has also been set up for international peace. Peace alone is the answer to war.
