Proud to be cadets
Smoothly and unnoticed, a year of activities has passed. With great pleasure, I present before you, the report of the N.C.C. activities for the year 2001-2003. Keeping the dignified motto "Unity and discipline", the N.C.C. unit of our school, under the command of Capt. T.P. Robert Stanly, Professor of St. Albert's College, strived to conduct activities to develop the talents of our cadets. The parades conducted on all second Saturdays, consisted of field drill, weapons drill, weapon training and shooting. Lecture classes were also provided for the cadets which gave them detailed knowledge about the defence forces. The training induced in them a spirit of patriotism, unity and discipline.
The cadets Teris Amal C.A., Wazim P.A. and Nithin M.D. were awarded the rank Corporal. Cadets Francline Jaxon, Rafeeque K.K., Shihab K.A., Abdul Manaf, Anoop P.A., Hari Krishnan K.G., P.J. Mohammed Jizam, Arun R. Mani, Tinil Stephen, Lidwin Livera were given the rank Lance Corporal.
About 24 cadets took part in camps in various places. Ten cadets attended the combined Annual Training Camp at U.C. College, Aluva. Nine cadets attended the annual training camp at Government Polytechnic, Kalamassery. Five cadets were selected for the rock climbing training camp at Thiruvananthapuram.
We are all proud of fulfilling the activities demanded by the N.C.C., though they have come to a close now. I am extremely happy to thank all my fellow cadets for working with unity and discipline for the common cause of upholding the motto of the N.C.C.
