Cricketing togetherness

A cricket match between India and Pakistan always evokes frenzy among the cricket lovers.

Prem: To hell with exams! I'm not allowed to watch the cricket match because of my board exams.

Basha: The best way to watch the match is to finish our preparation before Saturday.

Sathish: I have an ideal! I'll place a mirror on the table so that I can get a full view of the TV from the hall.

Ashwin: From my study table, I can see my neighbour's TV through the window.

The match was thrilling and there was a feverish excitement all over.

The day after, when we finished our exam, with the question paper in hand we discussed the match enthusiastically.

Basha: Did you watch the match?

Prem: Your suggestion worked. I finished my preparation and sat before the TV throughout the match.

Sathish: It was a thrilling start. What a ripping performance by Sachin! My parents forgot about my exam.

Ashwin: My mother was so involved in the match that we ordered pizza.

Basha: When Sachin got out at 98, I wondered whether India would reach the target.

Sathish: Every run taken by Dravid and Yuvraj increased not only the score but also our pulse rate.

Ashwin: Our victory was celebrated like Diwali — crackers bursting everywhere.

Prem: Whether or not the Internet connects people throughout the world cricket match certainly brings together the young and the old alike in a jubilant mood.

Sathish: Wasim Akram and Taufiq Omar heartily congratulated Dravid and Yuvraj and proved that sport definitely eases feelings of rivalry.
