Hurray for holidays

Last Dassara holidays we decided to go to north India. On October 4, we left Bangalore by air and reached Delhi at night. In Delhi we stayed at the Karnataka Bhawan.

Next morning we left for Manali. We visited Mt. Shiwalki, one of the Himalayan Mountains. It was freezing and we covered ourselves with woollen coats, hand gloves and rubber shoes. Horses carried us up to the mountain peak. We threw snow at each other and had fun. We ate corn and biscuits.

The next day we went to Simla. It was a beautiful place. Simla is famous for apples. We saw beautiful apple orchards. Next day we went to Manikaran, where we saw a hot water spring. People cooked rice in the hot water. There was Gurudwara.

On the way back to Delhi we visited Chandigarh, where we visited a rose garden and we went boating in lake nearby.

It was fun visiting different places. I had lots of fun with my family and cousins and also took back happy memories to Bangalore.
